In yet another series of funny repeating patterns, the Aprils of 1814, 1914 and 2014 have all been well above average for temperature. The way we're going it may be a safe bet to assume April 2114 will be too!

Taking into account advancing climate change, April 2114 will probably be hot! 🥵

Don By that point we would have had our first 20 Celsius Christmas day. 20 Celsius days in February would be commonplace as well as 30 Celsius in April. 40 Celsius during summer would have also become commonplace. Snow during winter would be completely unheard of.

Weather Enthusiast91 I think there's a fair chance I may see a 20C Christmas day in my lifetime, although I hope not!  I think the way things are currently though, you will be pretty close to the mark for 2114!

Don Or it will be raining 15-20 days a month with <100 hours of sun.

Even if the world warmed by several degrees by the early 2100s, I can't really see 20C being reached for low-lying areas of England from around mid November to the end of January (though might be possible for Wales / Scotland due to foehn, mountains etc).

Reason being is solar insolation is too weak and without foehn even with a very warm air mass, would likely end up with a inversion or just not enough heating to warm up the surface much. The world will warm up more, very certain of that but the strength of the sun itself, well that cannot be changed by us 😂

London almost touched 20C back in mid Feb 1998, so 20c in England by the start of February should be possible by the end of this century.

Metwatch London has seen 21c in February already, so 20c will definitely be achievable in February by 2100.
