Sun breaking through at Coventry temps should rocket:

LOL, yeah rocketed to the dizzying heights of 9C/10C, around the seasonal average and that was only for a few hours, it was very chilly most of the day and temps soon plummeted after 5 pm.

Frosty and foggy this morning. Hopefully today it will clear. Yesterday it finally cleared just as the sun went down — maxed out at a chilly 6.8C!

Fog seems to have got worse here — looked brighter 30 minutes ago when you could see the blue hue immediately overhead. So close, yet so far away ...

Same here, the brightness has gone! Also there is an unbelievable amount of moisture in the air considering we're supposed to be under high pressure in dry air: the grass is soaked and you can see droplets swirling around.

Yay, the fog has cleared and the sun is out. Skies still a bit milky, but it looks like it's going to be a lovely afternoon.

Warm, sunny and almost cloudless, even the cirrus present this morning has cleared. The Davis on the roof mast is reading 13.7c ( probably a bit too high as there's very little breeze)

As far as I'm concerned this as warm as it ever needs to be.

Fog had started to come down again before it had even got fully dark. About 150-200m visibility here now, but patches of near-zero on roads nearby. Still holding up at 5C- the nights haven't been as cold as expected in this spell.

Another frosty and foggy morning. Brightness already starting to appear at 8am, so I am hoping it will clear earlier today. Top temp yesterday was 14.2C, so pretty good.

Hazy sunshine for much of the day here, although it clouded over after four o'clock.

And I finally managed to get myself outside for a walk this lunchtime, for the first time since falling ill at the start of the week :)

Mostly cloudy but occasional sunny spells, all mid-higher level cloud, rather mild at 12.2c.

Luckily all the stinky smoggy muck of the past few days is completely gone now.
