Temperature dropping rapidly, sleety mixing with the rain in Longham at times.

Well that weather warning fell on the stony ground.. Posted Image

Not even on the highest ground, winter leaves on a damp squib!

Wouldn't surprise me because it was cold and the initial precip was very heavy around midnight - 01.00, we were woken by rain.

Could be interesting as the heavier stuff edges S/SW this afternoon, temp down to 3.7c now and a colder NE wind digging in.

Me to Andy, Its getting a bit heavier here now than it was and odd bits of sleet now mixing in to.

Raw cold here this afternoon after a reasonable morning with sunshine.  Much of the returning rain has missed us here in the Somerset/Dorset borders and what did fall was only rain.

Overnight minimum of 3C, so not even close. Maybe this will be like the early 1970's with an absence of winter snow, but plenty of snow threat in spring?

MINUS 0.7c at the moment! The lowest temperature since a morning in January (exact date escapes my mind at the mo) with a very pretty sunrise thanks to high cloud due to the weak front out West.

Hello all nice to see some familiar faces in here :)

Not a bad day really been sunny most of the day but cloud has slowly invaded during the afternoon, pressure is 1001.1hpa.

Hope the current models are right in bringing some settled drier weather for the south which is much needed latest GFS keeps the high pressure to the south throughout FI but its subject to change.

Totally rank day! Drizzly morning and now lashing rain with increasing wind - and that's before the main front arrives which looks very active right now! What a massive contrast to yesterday's perfect Spring conditions!

Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms with hail will affect southern parts of England and Wales during Sunday night and Monday. Some of the showers will become aligned into bands producing longer spells of rain, with some snow possible over the higher ground of southwest England and south Wales

Another half chance I suppose Posted Image

Blimey this Thunderstorm aspect has crept up on me unexpectedly, I'll put up with yet more rain if I can get a few rumbles out of it. Posted Image I have a slight headache too, surely not a Thunder head. Much drier signal for our region from Tuesday/Wednesday onwards and it may well last a long long time. Hopefully won't detract from our chances of continental imports this year either, they are well overdue.

The snow risk was there, should one look at a post of mine from a couple of days back but I'd ignored it for now, thinking we has snow no chance of it occurring. Snow is slowly being put out of my mind now, but that doesn't mean I'd say no to a few flakes and a good covering for a day or two. Posted Image
