Big change in temperature tonight as a few minutes ago noticed all the windows had misted over  in the old farm house. And yes its now 4.7c with light but steady rain.Spring barley crops have taken on  a more healthy shade of green compared to the pale yellow of some areas where drought had taken hold and fertiliser not washed into the soil next to the roots.

A cold front will sweep down from the north, I reckon some of you might get some snow, the graphics showed some white mostly over the Highlands, but those like November13 might get something if there is precipitation about :) Elevation is key, at this time of year.

^ Could possibly be snow - http://www.xcweather.co.uk

Note the temperatures tumbling - Goodluck Scotland.

Now 4c here

An hour further on and it is now 3.2c and there is moderate sleet falling!

May dew will be a bit cold to wash your face in  tomorrow..

Cattle going out full time tomorrow ,kept them inat night  on the basis of the forecast  in order to avoid a very cold wet night like this as dry/ frosty weather is better for them.

Dry overhead but fairly cloudy with a few breaks to the NE. Currently 2.7c. Ground has had a good soak overnight so very welcome in this area.

Cawdor hills and others round the Firth have fresh snow down to about a 1000 feet this morningpost-2744-0-90409700-1398931272_thumb.jp

Here at 8am it was 3.7C with 4.5mm of rain since midnight and the hills to the west have a thin looking covering of wet snow. From what I could see of Bennachie I'd say the snow level was sitting at around 450-470m.

Welcome to May, or should that be November Pt VII?
