Hi guys!

We're a team of french storm chasers who go to the Tornado Alley every two years to live the dream! While looking for tornadoes, we shoot a lot of footage and we created a webseries named "Rendez-Vous in Tornado Alley". I assumed you might want to take a look at our journey. Well... if you enjoy angry skies and tornadoes of course. Don't worry, it's entirely subtitled in English!

Below is the trailer of the series 2, shot this year in the Great Plains and coming on Youtube this December.

Our first season was broadcasted on the french Weather Channel and is also available for free on Youtube if you want to catch up before series 2 begins :

Feel free to tell us what you think of it, even if you think it's rubbish Posted Image

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi guys, i've watched 2 episodes, love it! The quality of the image is top class and the way the movie 'tells the story' is great. I'm just struggling to get the subtitles to appear, any tips?

I'm glad you enjoyed the first 2 episodes ! As for the subtitles, they should appear if you click on the subtitile icon in the Youtube player and then chose "english".

I've watched most of the series and love them :-) Are you planning on heading out to the plains again next year? I think I heard from one of your movies you only go out every other year? Next year will be mine and a mates 3rd year in a row....so addictive! :-)

I think its brilliant.

I recognise one of the storms which was in South Dakota you must have ended up close to where we ended up. The cell collapsed as we watched it but was real pretty.  All the shots bring back so many memories.

Today is the beginning of Series 2! You can watch the first episode with subtitles below.

EPISODE 1 : "Awakening of the senses"

You heard right ! We actually go there every two year because of the time it takes and the money it costs! I'd rather go 4 or 5 weeks every two year than 2 or 3 weeks each year. There are less chances to get there in a bad period with a "death ridge". But if I have the opportunity to go there next spring, why not! Posted Image

Yes, you recognized the May 25th beautiful supercell in South Dakota. It was a great and easy chase day! Even without tornadoes...

And thanks for your kind words about the series!

Hi Chris,

Watched this over the weekend and it looks as amazing as the last one! I chased May 17th - June 8th so I recognise almost all of the storms as I was nearby for most myself so look forward to trying to spot myself in a few episodes like last time round :) Only storm I think I missed was the Bennington one (if I recognised it correctly) which is still painful so I might have to skip that episode, heh! Still gotta have at least one bust per year!

I look forward to seeing the rest of the episodes! I imagine things are going to ramp up quickly in the next few given the dates shown in the first!

Cheers

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

I'd definitely not watch our Bennington episode if I were you indeed. It's gonna hurt you! haha ;) Joking aside, I'm sorry you missed it! But we had some pretty big bust too, like the Rozel tornadoes of May 18th for examples. Still painful today... I guess it's part of the game. Wouldn't be so fun if it was going well everytime.

See you for the episode 2 in four days ! :)

Just caught up with the last two episodes. Your Rozel bust looked painful, especially as it was so close to your original target. Cool footage of the Wichita area stuff the following day though. I was on the OKC storms that day and with everything that followed the next day, I didn't really see much of what happened up there! It really looked like that thing was about to get very big entering Wichita! Good job with finding the GoPro... Those things are tough as nails!

I'm looking forward to the next episode. I think you guys were further NW than us in Moore. We missed a chunk of it getting our chase partners wife out of their home to safety. It's never good watching an EF5 from your friends driveway and I don't think she would have been happy if we went for a close intercept after that with her still in the car!

For sure, the Rozel bust is still hard to forget! We felt a bit depressed after that day. Luckily, we made up for it in Wichita and the next chases as well.Moore was a very special day, one of those you don't really want to experience. As you say, this is tough chasing something when you know for sure it's gonna hit a populated area. But, well, Nature is in charge!

Thanks for posting these movies on Youtube, this second series is awesome. The video work, the editing and soundtrack make for a great atmospheric feel. I hope this is working well financially for you. Episode 5 is fantastic. We chased that storm in the Floydada area however the red dust kicked up meant we couldn't even see beyond the bonnet of the car! Can't wait to see Episode 6 to see what we missed out on :-)

Got to admit loving the series and has finally pushed me over the edge to get a couple of GoPros, how good is the external car mount, I know it fell off once and you managed to find it you lucky guys!

As for the external mount, I used a Fat Gecko with two suction vortices. It fell once indeed but the hail was very violent and I'm not sure I had stick it properly on the roof. In other occasions, it resisted to nearly 100MPH winds with heavy rain. We also had an official GoPro mount for a spare Gopro we used from time to time and it never fell off. You just have to be carefull about the car body being clean and dry before you set up the mount on it. An additional fastening gear may be a good idea though...

Yes, a great series to watch.  But S01 was better in my opinion but S02 still great to watch.

What did you prefer on season 1? Is is due to the different editing tempo? I'm curious to know :)

Anyway, here is our EPISODE 6 : "LP/HP"!
