11.4C this morning, wind seems lighter, but woke me up several times last night. Looks like my rain gauge is broken, the weather station is saying it didn't rain yesterday  --  I must have imagined getting wet

I saw a lovely rainbow whilst sitting on the train waiting to pull into Waterloo East this morning - must have been raining close by, but thankfully was a dry walk to work this morning.

The bar was open from 10, so I had a pint of salted fosters there - the salt from the copious amount that had accumulated around my face.  That made the trip worthwhile. I agree with your comments about the ferocity of the wind there. It was the first time I've experienced a true gale for a few years now, rather than mere gale force gusts.
