Nice embedded thunderstorm earlier in Norwich with all this rain, saw a couple of CGs and CC which were preceded by some deep rumbles prior to visible lightning. Now just raining constantly, in total 65 mins of rain so far! Much needed, grass is incredibly brown.

Bit of a disappointment really. Looked like the estofex/torro forecast was justified for a while, but didn't last long around here.

20 minutes of heavy rain here, no thunder or lightning. Clear again now

After all the excitement recently, looks like a bit of a boring week ahead storm wise.

A seemingly quieter period coming up according to GFS:

Maybe an isolated storm tomorrow in the North West?

That's about as good as it gets for a week or so!

GFS now wanting to shift that down into Wales:

Although anywhere along the North West might be in with a slim chance

It can't get much quieter than it has been in the last few weeks here. Bring on winter and those northwesterlies. I might actually get something from them. This is by far the worsed year for storms I can remember, end of story!

just shows how rubbish the uk is for storms in general, i would be jumping up and down with excitement  if that thing was sliding past my area Posted Image , the frequency of bolts inside the cloud is amazing and scary
