Damn that lingering warmth in the South East!!

Impressive temp gradient - the continent is broiling!

A shock to the system i shoud say Posted Image

on that rain graph as usual I am in the dry.  its always at coast and west part of country only.

on the east midlands news 2 nights ago it was reported in august there was on average 11 wet days for england, leics only had 2 wet days in august the dryest location in country.

seems hard to find cloud graphs.  only rain graphs.

is still warm stuffy air here, no wet weather, absolutely desperate for sustained rain.

Why are the predictions so crazy the past 4-5 weeks? hot one day cooler the next etc.  Although here 90% are wrong, nearly every wet day predicted has been dry.

Thick thick cloud here today, I suppose there isn't enough energy in this september sun to burn away that pesky cloud fast enough Posted Image

Well the sun did come out but not till late afternoon and what's the bloody point by then, Tomorrow looks far better Posted Image

since about 20 august its been sunny every day here.  Not as hot as july but its humid and sweaty type weather, feels like air from spain/tropics sort of air.

Meanwhile.

Thank god for that looks like Eastern Europe bearing the brunt of it, let's just hope it doesn't move to the UK.

Whilst im not for one minute suggesting its likely to happen, but the -8 uppers do appear in Estetn Ireland and North West England, its only a couple of degrees lower in Eastern Europe, Wetaern and North Western Europe has big +ve 850 uppers.

Sorry at a closer look the -8c 850s are in NW Wales.

Looks more like +8!!

I imagine it's since updated from when you last posted it, because I don't think you'd like that chart!

Yes it has, I wondered what you were on about as well SS, sorry, it had a little blotch of -8c with mostly -6c around Ireland and W part of Britain from what I remember but can see where SS is coming from now - brutal in Eastern Europe but tame for Britain that chart.

No, let's hope it does! Sick and tired of being on the outside looking in as the continent gets heavy snow and frigid cold and we get nothing interesting at all.

Can people not save a copy of the chat to their desktop and then upload that?It is difficult for the learners to keep track with charts changing every six hours.

That's what I do. 'Save picture as...' once I've right clicked on image. That way I can upload the image as a static file from my PC rather than one which changes all the time with each update.

Another hot day in the south and SE today

I have a feeling 30c will be breached today with somewhere between 30.2c and 30.5c getting recorded

If it does reach 30C in the SE today then I'll laugh - hasn't even reached 20C here yet! Might as well be a completely different country as far as I'm concerned.

I'm currently recording 24C but my station is normally a couple of degrees below when it gets hot. The unfortunate consequence of that being that it's actually around 26C.

This incessant, monotonous heat is actually at the point of genuinely cheesing me off now. I was annoyed by it before but now it's gone beyond that.
