Methane , Noctilucents and Comet Ison

Maybe concerns about the impacts from Ison's dust ( as it crossed our orbit) were not without precedent then? I'm sure that the amount of dust we will plough through , from Jan 12th and the following week, are in no way large enough to cause similar issues but with our climate so whacked out these days who knows what such 'little pushes' could end up producing?

 

Were it to cool the strat would this lead to warming below? could it offset an SSW event leading to a warmer start to the year than would have been the case had the SSW dropped N. Hemisphere temps over the darkest time of the year? I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!
