Wind predictors

Hi everyone,First of all, apologises for my english, because i'm not a english-speaker.I'm doing a project at university about surface wind prediction at regional scale. In general terms I use a multiple linear regresion (wind velocity vs. several wind predictors). The wind velocity data is associated with a tower in a meteorological station. To calculate the wind predictors data, I can only use the reanalysis (ERA-Interim). Anyone can suggest me several wind predictors?Until now, I used: mean sea level pressure gradient (interpolated to the tower's point), geopotential height at 850hPa gradient (interpolated to the tower's point), 2 meter temperature gradient, temperature at 850hPa minus 2meter temperature, etc. Could you suggest me more?Thank you so much!
