Very big flakes falling here.

Must be very local then, here in St Ives only very wet light snow! I'm not holding out much hope for anything great here tonight. Radar showing moderate ppn here - not happening in the real world though.

Elevation is starting to come into play - a few more hours and that should become irrelevant

Just driven back from Harlow to Elsenham, sleet most of the way until I came into Elsenham when it turned to snow. No accumulation as of yet, but the change has begun

That viaduct, Carries us over ,Buildings,Railway Line,The river. . . The wind effect is immense. Love The A10.

Have you noticed how dry it has been under there over the last few years though? We often have a walk underneath, lovely walk, especially along the new river!

And your only 6 miles up the road from me. 80s weather is the same as mine as we are only about a mile and half apart.

Heavy Sleet here, left a slushy covering on my mother's car. Grass gone slightly white, transition underway though the dry to SW seems to be getting closer to my likening :/

Kris, I have told you before drink driving is not on but considering you have some valuable info, we will let that slide.

Yes sweetdream, not far, but enough to make a difference sometimes. Temps still very marginal at the moment for what I call 'proper snow' although I make it 1.9C now with a -1.95 Dewpoint - so we are slowly getting there!

I can safely say that I will not be peering through the curtains at my nearest lampost tonight.

Friggin hell, the Costa del EA is looking very marginal, really hope next week the tables are turned. Shove that up your Buxton.

Just had a little look out side and things are starting to get going! Heavier snow now, although very wet at the moment. If the Temps continue to fall that will change.

Hi 80s weather yes noted flakes have become smaller, think the heavier fall will be around 3-6 not sure if it will settle as its rather wet on the ground. Mind you it's unusual for us to get so much snow in our area.
