Pushing 2cms today to add to the 2 or 3 left from Friday. Still moderate snow rather than heavy but happy with that as long as it keeps going for several more hours.

Had an interesting drive back from harpenden to Dartford this morning, outside lane of the M25 was slowly disappearing in Essex and the bridge was down to 3 lanes although I think this voluntary. In Dartford we seem to have got around 1cm since we left last night.

Temp -1.3

Dew point -2.6

It's definitely more than that kerry! I've been watching it all morning out of my Window we passed a Kentimetre ages ago lol

Still fairly persistent in Bexley. Would like it to pep up a bit more with some of bigger flakes but current stuff seems to be doing the job. Anyone know if the heavy stuff will hit outer area?

Worrying now. It's getting warmer. Temp now -0.3c and dp of -1.6c. Haven't really had any heavy snow. Got about 2-3 cm's at best. Very light but persistent snow. Listening to those in Leigh on Sea and Southend, I think i'm in a warm bubble.

This is a France & UK rainfall loop, it will give a good idea of what is to come

My brother lives 40 miles north of Paris, he's had a few inches of snow overnight and says its still snowing there. Hopefully good for us :)

Can someone post the snowscale up again please?

0- Nothing / Nada / just curtain dust + flies around the outside light

1- Odd pellet here & there- however we can mentally confirm there are 'flakes'

2- visible light snow falling- not visible to the lampost yet ( unless you stand underneath & obscure the light)

3- flurry level- makes light blue on the radar & a few flakes seen across the lampost

4- we can confirm snow falling without staring at the light- Can confirm to friends & loved ones its snowing via text etc

5- Status 2- moderate flurry, its fine snow at the moment still- it looks quite hard in terms of snow falling however its not amounting to anything

6- proper flakes falling- you will see them now- the odd flake mixed in with the moderate fine snow

7- transition to normal flakes all complete- moderate snow outside

8- 20p flakes going at a steady pace now- accumulating around 0.5cm - 1cm per hour

9- heavy 20p Snow - visibly accumulating + 1cm per hour

10- entry level heavy snow arriving- 50p flakes fluttering in the 20p flakes.. awaiting the beast...

11- 50p flakes nearly transitioned over- we can call it heavy settling snow 2cm ++ per hour

12- Very heavy snow inch per hour all 50p flakes

13- Blizzard- combined with +40 MPH wind-

Fairly decent covering now. Definitely no weak affair this front compared to Friday, it's dumping quite a bit for light snow. -2*C also.

Moderate falls of very fine snow here, topping up the existing snow nicely. Prob added another 3cm's already.

Yes Paul,

Turning into a pretty significant cold spell this now. I don't think anyone can disagree with that!

Interesting. Latest BBC forecast has another areas of snow entering the South-east tomorrow! YES PLEASE

Really? I haven't seen any graphics that say that, only Alex Deakin said the SE might see some further snow later tomorrow.

Same here. Woke up at 8 to nothing, then at 10 thought it was raining but realised all roads, pavements, roofs and cars were recovered from yesterday's light thaw. Tiniest flakes I've ever seen to begin with, but pepping up now.
