I'm a nervous wreck here!!,!, so many conflicting posts, really could use an Ian F comment one way or the other...

Try these for size.

and Ian F's forecast is as below.

Of interest...

The main band isnt on the radar yet (as expected, circled as '1'), however, the 'small' occluded front that prceeds this (2) is actually really heavy and potentially more potent that forecast...

lol still 5oc in bournemouth doomed

Yep in fact the temperature is rising, not falling!

The wind is in from the SW and I'm seeing a 0.3C/hr rise, and it is raining still.

Best thing for us Dorset coasties is to look it at like this. There have been no major 'downgrades' for us today, it's still very much game on.

To be honest, I simply cannot remember an active W-E Atlantic front ever bringing snow to Weymouth (I'm sure it has, I just can't remember one). BUT... it is fairly that nailed now that we will pull in Continental air from NE France on a brisk Sou Easterly. I've even been musing if it may not even end up being a straight Easterly.

So yes in theory, as things stand right now, there is no reason why (perhaps away from the VERY extreme fringes) even the coast couldn't receive 5cm or more tomorrow.

Can someone please reply to me as to whether we will get snow here in Exeter? The METO forecast keeps changing, I want snow! (Stamps my feet)!

I'm in Exeter. I think we will get a good amount in the early hours. I've pretty much decided ill have to walk to work tomorrow as my car won't be going anywhere

just been for a run along the seafront. Raining gently and absolutely tropical compared to Fleet (where i was working earlier). I think we need a miracle.
