I see that the latest Aberdeen TAF has a probability of heavy snow showers and thundersnow until 1am with moderate snow showers a possibility until 3pm. No complaints from me if that comes off.

Looking very good along the north sea coast at the Borders. Funnily enough there isn't as much activity between Montrose and Peterhead. Perth seems to be doing well now and the showers have spread as far west as the western parts of highland perthshire. In the next while, I'm expecting much of Fife to do pretty while and possibly Edinburgh a bit later.

Embra South Suburban Lamp Post reporting incredibly fine snow - swirling gently, tiny flakes, almost like dust motes in the lamplight but very definitely SNAW!!!

Its hard to believe how quickly it disintegrates in the 10 miles up the A1!

Yeah it's rather odd, lobbing it down here and looking at the eastern edinburgh traffic cams (Craighall, Sherrifhall etc) its dry. If the wind direction swings more easterly then the folks in edinburgh will have nothing to worry about smile.png

Coming to a chippie near you: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-21079285

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'fruits of the sea'.

Perfect for frying those 'fusion food' Tesco burgers that are all the rage right now.

Just got in the house and turned on the tv to see the 5 pm BBC forecast and it has seriously depressed me.

No snow at all through the central belt west of Edinburgh if that is to be believed. But the optimism in here has really cheered me up. Thanks
