Ok I'm really trying to control myself and not get excited as we have all been let down badly before. So can the more knowledgable please give a straight forward answer as too how likely this will pan out.😄

I have no idea, but if conflict and confusion from the last couple of days in the model thread powered snow, we'd be buried 7 feet deep by now!

I am so engrossed with the model thread and this regional forum that when I popped outside a minute or two ago, I was surprised to find it mild, cloudy and damp!

Amid all this excitement I cannot forget the early December debacle. Mind you, if it should all fall apart like it did then, I would seriously consider the idea that certain weather modelling computers are being maliciously hacked!!!!

Oohh, but I do hope those charts verify!!

I love snow like everyone here - but we are travelling to gatwick early monday morning for a little holiday. Told partner about the up and coming snow event and it was agreed we should book into a hotel on the sunday evening; now I am thinking will it be too late even come sunday for us to get to gatwick?????

Based on previous experience I would say 50/50 is as god as any other.

I would say that it's more likely to happen then not but to be honest of the same detail is being shown on Friday night for the weekend then we will be getting snow.

So 3 whole days to go yet :-(

With the talk of snow starting to get more frequent now -

When it snows, what do you do?

Spend all day/night peeking out the windows or going out in it!

Hi yamks

About time you popped in.

Think things are about to get lively in here.

The fax charts tonight and tomorrow are the ones I want to match. Gonna be fun seeing how the met office work them out :-)

Yammers! So good to have you back here.

Now I can go to sleep knowing that we will get buried in 10 ft drifts.

Happy New year to all, by the way. Here's to a snowy start. Cheers
