The inactivity in here reflects the current weather.

It's neither mild nor cold, despite frequent low pressure there's no significant rain, there's no chance of snow, hail or thunder, the wind is generally light or moderate and about the only crumb of comfort meteorologically is the occasional slight frost.

Perhaps I should have put this in the moaning thread and left this one empty!

You may see sleet from Cheshire Gap tomorrow, looks like sliding through Stockport into Derbyshire, hope I am dry

Lovely mild week coming, fantastic.

Tomorrow not fantastic, looks an absolute washout for the Staffordshire area

No chance of sleet here I'm afraid, the temperature was already up to 4.6c by 0900. There were/are a few showers on the radar but they've moved south a little to the west of here.

Currently mainly sunny with scattered Cu humilis and some thicker Cu to the south west.

As long as it not cold, I am not bothered about the rain.

Seems to be the return of soggy conditions today (as correctly predicted by others). Some odd spots of rain currently falling from the sky. Not overally cold fortunately with the temperature hovering just over 6*C.

Not so wet though, the wettest place in the Midlands today had just 5mm.

Haha if 5mm was the max then ihatetherain, your definition of a washout needs redefining. laugh.png

I can imagine it was very dull, misty and drizzly though just like down here as it was today.

No it wasn't it was heavy (child of nadine) style most of the day, and like 24th Sep, stopped around 3.30pm, the 25th though was wetter

Strange, it was nothing like that here.

Another dull day here in Staffordshire - a non event. However, just cheered myself up looking at the Christmas pre forecasts & it's looking hopeful for cold, just praying for the old white stuff ( need something to hope for in grey old November................)

What part of Staffordshire, non event? never meant to be an event was there? always predicted to be a dull dismal day

Sorry to confuse! No, there wasn't an event predicted it was just me meaning to say a boring, dull, un-eventful day,

Cheers!

Hi everyone. Winter's on it's way, not that you can tell by the weather so far. Foggy and damp, dull and grey here in Earl Shilton.

It's sunny here and quite mild, although I am quite high up here and can see the fog lingering down below over Cheshire.

Well made my move to Upper Gornal...so even further up in the gloom now!

Was a lovely afternoon and evening in the end today though.

this thread is desterted! probably because of the endless rain, cloud, fog and other dull peices of boringness and disgusting blandness

Endless rain?? It's been the second- driest first half of November in the last 50 years here.
