As a weather lover and a member here for a while now, it's time I actually understood what the models actually show! Is there a thread on here (I've had a quick look) that gives a novice the low-down on what the different charts show/mean? I know some bits but not all that I should... That way I can read the forecast model thread and hopefully understand more of what's being said.

Thanks

Ok, sorry, just finished typing this and found what I'm looking for! Sorry!

Have a read of this written by John Holmes in the Netweather learners area.

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/64122-basic-gfs-charts-how-to-understand-and-use-them/

I hope it helps and there are other similar guides in there.

Edit,I just seen you have found what you are looking for.

Anyway have a scan through the guides i am sure after some reading you can start to enjoy even more your time on this great site.Posted Image

Thanks Phil, I had a good read last night - much more informative than xfactor!

That's not hard; X factor is dreadful! Anyway i hope you have received plenty of help, a useful site which has been made by a fellow Netweather Forum Member is this:- www.weathertools.co.uk. Very helpful and the mobile chart viewer is excellent!
