NAE has Snow chance around hampshire around tomorrow lunchtime, but this is still likely to change , be interesting to see how Cold it can get tonight and really in hampshire you would want the skys to clear for most of the night to see how low you can get surface temps down . It all looks very very marginal to me though to be honest .

Shame the wind today hasn't had more of a westerly element to it instead of being more south westerly, has been plenty of reports in the Wales thread about hail and thunder in all those showers hitting south Wales throughout the day.

First signs on radar of our little bundle of fun . just aproaching breast peninsula and hopefully some more precipitation hiding behind Radar coverage .to early to tell where the heaviest is heading at the moment ,but give it till midnight and we should have a better idea . so an interesting spell coming up ,and after this event tonight and early sunday we still get some potent showers .so a possibility of some wintryness in usual places with height .expect some local flooding issues over the next 36 hrs .

There was an area of active showers passing near stroud between 6.30 and 8.30 pm ,could have been sleet hail or even wet snow if any height .just look at some of the temp about using XC WEATHER OBSERVATIONS ,its surprising what pops up ,especially that given this time of year and air mass alot of whats falling will be wintry .the other night on top mendip big large wet flakes were falling but not settling ,this was thursday night ,early hours of friday morning ,2am ish . RADAR GETTING A BIT MORE INTERESTING ,FRONT ,Trough getting closer should start to see if presipitation as got our name on it by midnight .cheers

It was very heavy hail in Churchdown - gave a good covering and but quickly went slushy

really?....good stuff!.....We've steady sleety rain here at Lyneham. A heavier batch is moving up from Salisbury Plain now, so hopefully might see a few flakes as evap cooling brings the snow level down...here's hoping!
