Yeh, right over my house....shame I'm working in Ipswich where we have just had a splash of rain.

Shower headed your way. Could turn thundery...

Just looked on the radar, just as I did, it's started to hammer it down here, with one rumble of thunder.

I reckon that zone will turn more thundery as it heads east of you.

There's also another band of showery weather, which should push through later on. I've no idea whether it'll develop or fizzle though.unsure.png

A reasonably heavy shower is pushing through here now. Blustery too.

No thunder here, just some incredibly heavy rain from two showers earlier this afternoon. Now I'm in the teeth of a howling NEly with grey skies.

Maybe I'll get lucky in autumn/winter with howling 60 mph gales and 6ft snow falls. This boringness can't go on. Yawn! :(

Really wishing I didn't leave the house this morning wearing a short sleeved top. It was clear blue skies when I left home this morning, now its like the depths of Autumn out there.

It looks to me like the T&L prospects are remote, for the foreseeable future, after today. It also seems to me like the warm spell prospects for next week are somewhat downgraded now too.sad.png

Never mind, there will be something to whet the appetite, once the season changes. Could still have big thunderstorms too.smile.png

Thanks for posting Coast. I do struggle to quickly interpret all the information given on these consolidated charts at the moment, although I understand most of it individually.

I'll make an effort to learn this properly.smile.png

Yes of course; autumn can bring very dramatic weather and like I said, we may get lots of gales and later snow and fog. :) Thanks for the cheer up Steve. :D

I only look at pictures and guess Steve!! That bottom line of general convective indices (not the only ones that indicate storms mind you) swing orange when something interesting might be on the way, yellow when its quietening down. The LI line also needs to get into the negatives. It's only one model though (GFS) and there are lots of caveats to apply to it, but it's a reasonable rule of thumb good.gif

My husband set off for the dog walk at lunchtime and came back soaked — dogs too. Blowing a hooley out there. I hope no Para Olympic sailing events are taking place today — they'd end up in Normandy.

Still gives me a chance to catch up on the ironing — my rule is only iron if it's raining.

So you haven't got any outstanding at the mo!

I am actually looking forward to a more autumnal feel to the weather now, summer is set to be the second wettest on record apparently and can only hope now the autumn delivers and then the fun will really begin as winter begins and John Pike starts delivering those beautiful winter charts and dare I say it....we see the return of.....Yamkin!!!

Lol :)

Edit.....just seen on news....wettest summer in a hundred years!

I thought we were going to have a hell of a storm earlier. Very dark angry clouds with loads of scud cloud. But alas, not even so much as a fart.
