The 2nd batch of convergence over Cherbourg peninsula looks like it could be hitting us, the one out towards NE France/Belgium looks north sea bound though sad.png

after another miserable morning, drizzle and light rain, all of a sudden the blue sky appeared around 12pm. The humidity seemed to shoot up and we have just had a couple of very sharp showers accompanied by strong gusts. Will I manage to get out of the nostormsclub today, or will it be tommorow?

Currently moored just South of Rugby.

Lightning detected to the west of Lincoln. Suns come out here so who knows? Still not feeling that confident.

Lots of booms coming from the South of here. Sadly I think it's the MOD praticising their friendly fire over Foulness Island.

Yeah that looks bright red on the radar. Got a few potent looking clouds down the other end of lincs too :) you could be in for some at your end later i reckon.

I'm hoping you're right mate, only had pretty much 1 overhead storm this year :-( I need more!

Yep, looks like being yet another non-event for us this week....far too much cloud cover and still stuck with this drizzly mess. Heads pounding though.

Looking at the radar now, its showing some intensifying heavy showers that hit us 30 mins ago heading up past the Boston area. Hoping they keep brewing! Then your luck might unfold mate :)

Owww I've got one of 'thunderstorm headaches' coming on. It normally happens when I start doing this, as the storms miss me completely......

Just looked at the BBC weather for Bristol online and the forecast for Friday to Sunday is for heavy showers and thunderstorms. I can't remember the last time they actually use the word thunderstorm.

Also they have the thunderstorm symbol showing too, as does the Met Office app. Enough to keep me slightly interested for now.

I think it's been down grading all the time for our area AWD. Not as confident about storms as I was earlier this week.

I would suggest that the heavy rain coming into Dorset/Hampshire is running along the Cold Front as is the line of showery rain sitting through Wales.

Pulses of rain will continue to move North along the front as it gradually eases Eastwards.

As it stands now, Thursday night is looking like it could potentially be rather noisy across E Anglia and poss E England. If it stays like this, the camera will deffo be out ready! PLEASE DONT ALTER !

Not much happening here, a few light showers and not much else to report. Mainly overcast with the odd sunny break. Very humid though, 18.8c, dew 16.0c, humidity 90%, feels like 21.0c
