Hello! I live in Lebanon (in the middle east) in the town of Bcharre. This winter, we witnessed extreme cold fronts which made the weather drop down to -25C on some occasions. On march 1, we had a wind chill of around -35.5C

This is not normal, and the freak weather occurred at the same time the European storms hit. Is there a good explanation of what happened? More than 2 meters of snow ( 200 cm > and around 4 meters was predicted ) was recorded this year too in Bcharre. However, the ski resorts are still open and it's still chilly and cold outside! Is there any explanation for this type of weather? It usually goes down to -15C on some occasions but it's usually around -2C in January and February. It's even too cold for April :(

EDIT: we also saw around 80 kmph gusts :sorry:

I managed to get some vids...

NOTE: I did not video these, however the Cedars are at the same height of my town and are only 4 minutes away by car, so basically we got the same effects:

I hope you settle in well, it seems like a fascinating place to live - big changes there since the turmoil of the 1980s.

Also the climate appears to be colder and snowier than I first realised.

Yeah one day in the 1980s we got up to 8 or 10 meters of snow :(

Anyways we moved out of that place...
