It's kind of been lost in the excitement of the snow but the models today have been superb.

Ooh new thread! Snow's pretty much stopped here in Malvern, temp is slowly rising, now at -0.6oC. We have around 3 cm total, from what I can see on level surfaces.

Still snowing here. Not as heavy as an hour again but we easily have 5 cm now and where the children were in the garden earlier all their footprints have gone. Not sure if we will get rain here, seen mixed reports but hoping for it to stick around tomorrow.

The temperature has finally crawled above freezing here in Knowle, for the first time since Friday lunchtime. Currently a tropical +0.1, with the all-important DP at -0.5 :)

OMG that is brilliant accuracy from the GEM at 120hrs out. Have you shown this to the guys in the Models Thread?

I will definitely be keeping a closer eye on the GEM from now on.

That dewpoint is hardly budging at all! Still at -1c. I think we can be pretty safe here now that it will stay as snow with perhaps just the very back end of something like rain/sleet or freezing rain.

Just starting to see 'uber'chunks in the snow, the sort you get during really heavy snowfall about 2" across!!

Ermm - I'm not normally technically challenged, but would someone be kind enough to explain to me how to upload photos in a post?

(Went a bit sleety here in Knowle,Solihull, for a while, but seems to have thickened up a bit again now).

Indeed, and some heavy stuff passing through now.

I think we can safely say that no matter what happens from this point, even if it turns to rain, this event has exceeded expectations and I am very happy with it.
