-9.2c for my suburbs was the low at 0800 am which is coldest since 26th december 2010 by nearly 2c.
Now pressure at 1036 hPa

A nice pure blue sky now. With the wind and as it is so dry no trace of frost anywhere.
a cm or 2 ( if lucky!!!) of snow is forecasted for our area here tonight and then should clear out during the early hours of morning for a cold day again.
Windchill went to a truely wakening -16.9c at 0730 am and did not go above -10.4c for now.

After a min temp of -5.1C and severe frost this morning it has been a clear and sunny day. The 2cm of lying snow has partially melted in the sunshine but would still count as a half cover under the MetOffice definition, so its likely tomorrow will be another snow lying at 0900 day. Despite the constant sunshine the temperature only struggled up to 2.2C, making it the coldest maxima of the winter.

Currently 1.4C and 72% humidity
The Last 6 months (compared to 1981-2010 averages):

December 2011: 5.9°C (+1.1°C)
January 2012: 5.4°C (+0.9°C)
February 2012: 4.7°C (0.0°C)
March 2012: 8.4°C (+1.8°C)
April 2012: 7.6°C (-0.8°C)
May 2012: 9.4°C (-1.9°C) to the 20th.

Got down to -6.1C last night which was the lowest temp since 22nd Dec 2010 and one of the lowest I've recorded with no snow on the ground.

Was sunny all day giving 7.18 hours of sun and with the sun now much stronger and visibly higher in the sky, the temp rose to 3.8C. Coldest max this winter remains 1.4C on 18th Dec and lowest this year, 2.1C last Friday.

Despite the not particularly cold max temp has already fallen to -3.3C under the clear and calm conditions :cold:

Another very hard frost last night - suspect we saw another -6 or -7 degrees. Today temps climbed up to 1 degree, so we have yet to see an ice day this season. Can't help but think had we some snow cover, temps would have easily got down lower than -10 degrees increasing the chances of an ice day - the sun reflecting off the snow cover.

Tonight we have some cloud cover so temps are not falling as dramatically as the past two nights and I suspect they have reached there minima now at -2 degrees, but they will climb very slowly tomorrow perhaps up to 2 degrees by the evening at best. This is turning into a rather noteworthy cold spell, nothing exceptional but a decent cold spell all the same especially once we see the snow tomorrow.

How different everybody's moods are now compared to even 10 days ago with all the calls of winter is over, it was always going to be a rather late affair this year, but a very decent one all the same.
