a cold, frosty and sunny start with no wind.

Lowest=-3.6C just 0.1C less cold than the last coldest day in January 2011, white frost everywhere and ice on the ponds in the back garden.

Cold and sunny with a hard frost. Currently -2.9 deg C after an overnight minimum of -4.0, the lowest temperature here since December 2010, and reports of -7 just up the road in Benson. Wind calm.

Every where is white this morning but not from snow but from an overnight hard frost lowest overnight temperature was -3.2°C its currently -2.2°C

-3.8c was the lowest temperature since early March last year!

Sunny at the moment with some patches of Altocumulus, -1.1c and rising steadily.

Very cold and clear overnight with a widespread severe frost, low –5.65c with –9.5c on the grass. The morning to observation, very cold, severe frost, freezing fog patches on near by fields.

Yesterday:

Clear overnight with a widespread slight frost, the temperature was up and down by one or two degrees as the wind mixed the air. Low –1.2c with –4.5c on the grass. The morning to observation has been cold and frosty with shallow mist and fog patches on the near by fields. A sunny day followed, feeling chilly though, top temperature 5.6c.Ground frost quickly returned around dusk.

Low last night of -0.8C on my station (My station is 1C out so the true minima was -1.8C)

First air frost of the season, will probably go to about -3C here tonight. :D

Dry and sunny for the third day of a row. The first air frost of the year occurred very emphatically last night with a minimum of -4.0C, currently 2.4C at Cleadon with a little haze and a cloudless sky.

It got up to 2.9C shortly after midday. This evening has featured an unusual sunset, with various yellow, green and pink glows, reminiscent of the spectacular sunsets many of us got during the anticyclonic spell of 8-20 February 2008.

We had the impressive sunrise and sunset here too, very similar to Feb 2008 with vivid colours, clear skies and low level haze aswell.

A clear and frosty start with a thick rime gave way to a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. It was the lowest temperature of the winter so far this morning with a min of -1.8C. The max today was cold at 4.1C.

Currently 1.3C and 84% humidity.
