For a month which hasn't yet given any really cold weather it's been a remarkably good one so far for snowfalls even though they've all been light.

Disappointing, as I was expecting my first air frost.
Currently 3.0C and 5/8 oktas.
Snow falling: 5
Snow Lying: 2 - 16/12/11. Heavy snow most of the morning into afternoon. Stopped 2pm. 2 inches. (20/02/12 - dusting)
Lowest temperature: -5.5C (10/02/12 @ 4:47am)
Ice days: 0
Frosts: 21
Air frosts: 15
Days with hail falling: 8

Clear spells gave way to cloud and light rain moving in from the west after midnight. Low before the rain was 1.4c with –2.4c on the grass, so a widespread ground frost. At observation, overcast with light rain, feeling cold and raw in the fresh NW wind.
Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

Visibility 2 miles.

Yesterday:

Bright, though with a good deal of high fragmented shower clouds, making the sun hazy at times. Cool, top temperature 4.9c. A clear and frosty evening followed.

The current temp is 1.9C after a min of 1.1C.
1.4mm of rain has fallen.
And Im jealous TM, down here at sea level we've yet to see an air frost never mind anything snowy!
