Really windy here last night and this morning. My top gust was at 0825 this morning of 65.7kts = 72.27mph. The Met Office observatory in Lerwick recorded 75mph at the same time.

Turned colder now with temps and dew point dropping.

Sunny, windy, 7.0C. There was a maximum of 10.6C just after 2am, but it's been no higher than 7.9C during daylight hours. One of those days where numerous showers have got to the east of the Pennines and then fizzled as they approached Cleadon, but there was one sprinkling of rain recently from a clear sky (presumably from remnants of a dissipated cumulonimbus).

Got upto 11C breifly here before quickly going down to 9C, compared to the balmy temps this autumn it feels quite cool out in that brisk westerly wind.
