Same here. :')

Fairly cool at the moment with super duper light rain around. Temperature just over 7*C with a South-South-West wind. :)

3rd December 2011 07:55: +11.4C

Difference: 21.0C.

Didn't some parts of Yorkshire and NE get close to -20C on the 3rd last year? They are around 7C this morning which is a difference of 27C, not bad for a maritime island nation!

Back to here it's currently cloudy with wet roads after some light overnight rain/drizzle, though very little here due to the rain shadow of Dartmoor being rather enhanced last night.

dry and largely clear as the sun rises, its also fairly breezy. Lowest temperature=7.8C its now 8.3C;
last year as per the previous poster, a mirror image=-7.9C with snow depth 26cm!

I fell to my record low of -12.2c on the 3rd December 2010, today I was at 10c at 2am, luckily it's now 6c! Partly cloudy at 3/8 okta.
Hoping for a future in meteorology!

Light rain overnight and through the early hours, turning much milder with the maximum temperature of 10.8c for the 24 hour period being reached around 04:00 GMT, breezy. At observation, dry, clear spells, though low level cloud increasing from the west.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

3 Oktas:4 Stratocumulus.
Visibility, 4 miles.
Temperature: 7.4°C
Humidity: 81.4%
Dew point 4.4°C
Wind Direction: Force 3 WSW
Barometer: 1000mb rising.

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 6.9°C
Minimum temperature overnight: 6.9°C
24-hour maximum = 10.8°C
24-hour minimum: -1.0°C
Minimum temperature on grass: 4.3°C
Rainfall total: 0.9 mm

Yesterday:

Cloud cleared after midnight and the temperature fell to –1.3c and –4.0c on the grass, so a widespread slight frost here. At observation, clear with frost on the ground. There were bright spells through the day, though also a good deal of cloud at times threatening a shower, but none was noted at this station. Top temperature to 18:00 GMT = 6.9c. Turning milder during the evening as light rain arrived from the west.

Early cloud cleared before sunrise and now clear blue sky with bright sunshine and a brisk Westerly making it feel
cooler than the 9.6c!
11 May = the 1st completely dry day for 25 days!!

A short spell of rain early this morning clearing well before dawn. So far the morning has been quite windy ( gusting to 49 mph ) with one or two very brief and light showers and sunny intervals between them.
Current temp' is 5.7c after a min' of 4.0c overnight and a 24 hr min' of 2.8c. The temp' reached 8.8c overnight and this was the 24 hr max' for yesterday.
The grass min' was 3.1c
Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900, 2.0 mm
Mean wind speed, at 0900, 23 mph W
5 oktas Cu and Cu fractus
Light shower falling at 0900
Vis', over 80 km.
Patiently awaiting the return of the Younger Dryas.

currently 9c and sunny. Peaked at 11c overnight! :(
Winter 2011-12:
04 Dec, Brief wet snow shower in the evening.
16-17 Dec, Outbreaks of wet snow and sleet.
18 Dec, Heavy snow from 8.30am, stopped at 9.30 but gave a 2cm covering, thawed after lunch.
02 Feb, Light snow showers in the morning, no lying snow.
04 Feb, Light snow beginning around 2:30pm, becoming heavy and settling eventually. Non-stop until midnight, with 9cm depth.
05 Feb, Lying snow of 9cm, slow thaw starting eventually with high temperature of 2.0c.
06 Feb, Patches of snow and slushy snow on roads, rapid thaw underway.
09 Feb, Light snow on-and-off from 6pm, giving a light covering on top of leftovers. Eventually turning to freezing rain later in the evening.
10 Feb, Dusting of snow from flurries overnight.
18 Feb, Sleet showers in the evening.
04 Apr, A return to winter with snow showers all morning.

Currently 11.2 °C with sunny intervals and a light rain shower overhead just now.

This exact time last year it was -2.6 °C, with 23cm of snow cover!
If only I had known back then what I wish I knew now...
