The thick fog thinned to mist by 0930 and it remained misty for the rest of the morning and into the early afternoon with a few spots of light rain or intermittent light drizzle. There was a rapid clearance from the north west around 1400 with sunny intervals for an hour or so before Stcu and St moved in from the west. Eventually almost all the cloud dispersed to give a clear start to the evening.

A nice sunny day, with the temperature dropping fast as skies remain clear. The good visibility is a real shock after weeks dominated by gloom (I can see the Winter Hill mast about 40 miles away).

Brightened up a bit today, Id forgotten what natural daylight was after weeks on end of relentless 100 meter visibility by day and clear skies only at night, still a sunless day though.
Continuing the mild trend with a high of 10.5c but cooled off significantly now, currently 2.9c.
