Very mild! Especially as you are under the less mild uppers (2-3c).

Today should be above average here in Durham, tomorrow less likely to be so, Wednesday and Thursday above again and Friday and Saturday below. We are still 0.4c above the all time November record (1994, 8.4c)!

Cloudy and turning milder overnight for a time with the maximum temperature of 8.8c being reached around 01:00 GMT. The morning to observation has been overcast and dry.

Yesterday:

cloudy here with no sign of the fog in areas close by-min shows since 0001 as 6.6C but it was below that soon after dark, hardly any breeze, cloud looks like highish Sc

A little light rain during yesterday evening after which the fog cleared only to return around 0400.
Currently thick fog with vis' at 70 mts and everything dripping with moisture.
The temp' is 6.5c after an overnight min' of 5.8c and a 24 hr min' of 5.0c; the grass min' was 4.9c
Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900, 0.3 mm
Mean wind speed, 5 mph SE
24 hr max to 0900, 7.0c.

What started as a promising day with some brightness and little fog, has gone completely the other way now. Back to grey and dull I'm afraid - thank goodness the weekend sunshine made up for it.

Dull and wet with showery rain which was quite heavy between 08.00-09.30 and much lighter since.

Calm, 10.3c and 98% humidity.
11 May = the 1st completely dry day for 25 days!!

Contrasting features here in the Peak District this morning. I was up watching the fog bank in the local valley before a more elevated-base came through and wrapped around the highest peaks.
There seemed to be a shift from fog to mist more later on and even the sun broke through once, but visibility is still less than 2 miles at best and multi-layering evident.

Low Temperature -11.0°C at 07:35 on 20th December 2010

Was 9.5c at 3:25, but has fell dramatically to 7.5c at 4:25, under mostly cloudy skies.

Fog persisted until lunchtime, after which we had a couple of hours of hazy sunshine before it clouded over again. Current conditions: mist, 10.3 deg C, wind light E. Today's maximum 10.8, last night's minimum 6.8.

Celestial object of the season: M64, the 'Black Eye' galaxy in the constellation of Coma Berenices. High in the south on spring nights and visible with amateur telescopes against a dark sky.
In 2012 so far: maximum 25.4, minimum -9.6, days with falling snow 5, days with lying snow 5, days with thunder 2.
Last year: maximum 29.6, minimum -2.8, days with falling snow 1, no days with lying snow, days with thunder 5.
Since June 2002: hottest day 35.0 (10/8/03), coldest day -1.9 (3/12/10), warmest night 20.3 (20/7/06), coldest night -9.6 (11/2/12).
