I think this winter there will be 1200000000000000000 ft of snow as well as a polar bear or 500. :)

well, it looks like the low will track towards us- but as it's modified by the north atlantic- it will generally be average conditions when it arrives.
Hoping for a future in meteorology!

What worries me is that some people might actually believe themselves or what other members have posted in here, lets hope this crazy talk stays in this thread.

James Maddon eat your heart out!!

950mb depression with storm force winds gusting to 90mph and exceptionally heavy snowfall with temps around -20c. It's going to happen now because I have said so Posted Image Posted Image
Ironically enough... I wish to break my all time low pressure reading of 948.7Mb (20 Oct 2000) this year. To hell with the cold though Posted Image

Warms the cockles of my heart.... It's just a shame people often loose their lives when this happens.

woops sorry- forgot about that! the low will go to the arctic, take in -30c upper air, flow down with a potent arctic blast, get colder and all of britain will have blizzards :) :) :)

I wasnt to see those sub -10c 850hpa easterlies with great instability off the Irish sea!

It's such an amazing synoptic.

This looks like the place to be for me for a while.
I'm depressed with America getting all the snow and the GFS showing nothing but warm for us.
I live in hope that last year the GFS did much the same and then suddenly changed overnight and started showing winter......

PS - Am still waiting for a November forecast from the lovely controversial Piers ;)
