Hi all, winter is around the corner and seeing the cold weather chat re-appearing on the forum means only one thing - it's time to put some plans in to place for coping with the winter rush on here..

We plan to extend the regional forums soon, initially it'll be a limited extension but when severe weather is expected or happening we'll bring more localised forums online. As last year, we'd really like to bring some regional hosts online to help out through the late autumn and winter months.

The winter hosting roles will generally be limited to helping out in a particular region, with the emphasis on encouraging discussion, helping members and generally being a guide and influence in a threads rather than having to do lots of 'moderating'. We're also on the lookout for a few specialists hosts for other parts of the forum, so if you have an interest in a particular topic area on the forums, find yourself posting in to that area regularly and may be interested in getting more involved there are openings for that too.

If you're interested or have any questions please let us know in this thread, by pm or by email from the link below:

http://www.netweathe...n=contact;sess=

Thanks

Paul

Yep.....it is pretty addictive.

Such a great community on here. There is nothing better than the MOD thread in full flow with an easterly showing at +96! :)

I'm generally at school from 9am-3pm on weekdays of course - but free on weekends.

I will be getting an HTC sensation for christmas so i'd imagine that will have full editing options (my bb curve does not currently) - so I'll be on practically every minute post-xmas.

FYI - About 3,500 of my posts are from the regional discussion the past 2 Winters.

I'd love to help, I'm quite new to posting, but I've been a long time lurker Plus my job is pretty quiet from mid November onwards, so I can absolutely spare the time. I spent most of last winter helping people out on twitter and Facebook with snow and ice and transport running commentary. :)

As some may know i have put my self forward a handful of times over the years however generally circumstances have not allowed.

Fortunately, times change.. I would do regional, serious discussion, models or seasonal.

I’m happy to do winter Regional hosting. I work part time up until lunchtime so would be around from lunchtime onwards. I do not profess to be a weather expert by any means and I’ve only been on the forum for just over a year but I’m a frequent visitor all year round and in the short time I’ve been here I’ve a pretty good idea who everyone is.
Plus I like to think us Netweather ladies have a calming influence Posted Image
So I’m here if you need me.
Maybe have a couple of hosts per region just as a backup?

Here's to another great winter on Netweather Posted Image
