Just watched the last two episodes of D.C.I. Banks and I'm slightly puzzled. I've read most of Robinson's books, including the one on which this was based. It wasn't a bad adaption but they made one major alteration. They identified the murderer immediately which in the book certainly wasn't the case and it completely shifts the way the story unravels. I assume it was because they have to obviously condense it somewhat but I'm not convinced by that.
Anyone had the same problem with other adaptions?

I haven't seen the TV series, ws, but I have read most of the books...I do agree, though, that many TV adaptations fall down on the plot...

Have you read any R. J. Ellory???
