What`s d`you rate out of those 2 classics.
I`ve seen them all incl star trek voyager original series 60`s most of next generation all the star wars movies of course, besides didn`t watch much of star trek deep space 9,seen all the star trek movies more than once.
Star trek gave far more movies 10 was it and TV series.
Stars wars gave 3 absolute classic movies with harrison ford/carrie fisher.
And 3 follow ups not so good, except for the fantastic effects.
Whats your pick.

Clearly from my last avatar, I'm a bit of a trekkie! Saying that, I'm not the biggest fan of the Star Trek movies and so would probably rate the first 3 Star Wars films on par with the Star Trek ones, purely on entertainment value.
But the series, especially TNG, I'd rank way above the movies of both, and most other Sci-Fi's. Probably my favourite, possibly joint favourite TV show ever, with Breaking Bad being the only one to challenge it!

Difficult but Star Trek edges it. I'm more classic series and TNG and less so with the other spin-offs.
Star Wars 4 to 6 were excellent, the first 2 I was not impressed with but the 3rd one reminded me of the original trilogy

Star trek 4 the voyage home the voyage home rates very high IMO,saw that at the cinema in 1987.
Comedy value there, but I like all the star trek movies.
As for series the original star trek was the best out of the lot the original cast, followed by voyager, there were an excellent 2 parter of the final star trek series(they were on the dark side)starring what`s his name from quantum leap.

I think the last series of Star Trek tends to be overlooked by a lot of people, but is very enjoyable once you get into it.
But it's the Borg that do it for me, the greatest villains ever conceived in my opinion. The Best of Both Worlds I & II from TNG and Scorpion I & II from Voyager, 2 fantastic double episodes!

Star Wars without a doubt. (no off the fence biased opinion given I used to watch the origional Star Trek series ALL the time) but coming back to watching Star Trek again recently I found just how boring the movies are, I mean the plots are basically one long drawn out script where the crew find something 'odd' at the beginning, then spend all 3 hours of the movie flying to the star to either destroy it or make 'peace'.
At least with any of the Star Wars movies it was action consistently, sectioned out by parallel stories going along with the main plot which then intertwined at the end, leaving for the classic 'cliffhangers' we all loved. Star Trek just finished and that was that..so sorry trekkies but 'the force' is strong with this one.

I never really got into Star Trek despite quite a number of attempts, whereas I really got into Star Wars, so for me it has to be Star Wars.

I'm yet to see the Phantom Menace (Episode I) but I'm told that it is the weakest entry in the series. I think Episodes 4-6 are great, and 2 and 3 aren't bad, though I didn't quite enjoy either of them as much as the original trilogy. I also like John Williams's orchestral scores and have the CD soundtracks from each of the 6 films.
