Distant rumble of thunder, very heavy rain mixed with pea sized hail...all from a shower rotating and developing above.

Just had a rumble of thunder from the cell passing over Stafford heading towards Lichfield...If 'staffordshire' is on-line, I'd keep my eye on this one if I was you, it'll be with you in about 10 minutes

What a strange day, just had a massive cell pass through. Moderate rain and wind, 5 strikes heard on my radio but nothing seen or heard. Another cell moving in from the West, just as well I saw the first one coming and got the washing in!!

Some fairly potent showers racing across the city centre, creating some lovely looking cloudscapes.

Still under the law of camera Sod, Im expecting fireworks at some time today

I can hear thunder to the south-west but so far it has remained dry here.

Quite a bit of action on the radar nearby though, so eventually something might hit here.

Just had quite a heavy storm here with very loud thunder and accompanied by very heavy rain. Whilst the thunder can still be heard as the cell passes out to sea, the whole event only lasted about 10 minutes. Clearance now coming over from the west.

Had a shower here too but the heavy stuff seems to have passed us by to the south - lots of strikes on the NW radar display over S Lincs, Horncastle to Boston way looks like.

Much less convection to the west at the moment so that could be it for a while, although I have just heard a sprite on 5 Live.

Stuck head out of back door and can clearly hear thunder, although not that near. Sprites on radio getting louder and more frequent. Can't work out where the storm is from the NW radar but is perhaps the shower we have just had developing and becoming electrified as it travels East.

Another thunder day to add to the list but hopefully we will get something overhead taday.....
