haha! ouch! How did you ever think that would be a good idea to re-heat in a caserole? Its bad enough when you buy it :p Hope you feel better soon though I know how it feels I had a whole week of gut infection once. Posted Image

Anyway, the clouds are currently spitting at me, nothing more. Looking forward to tonight/tomorrow/Friday now.

Do remember that the MetO warning does not mention thunder...hence my pessimism at the presence of a waving front.

Given that some CAPE is progged there could well be sporadic thunder, though not as much as I favour will occur across Ireland, parts of Wales and maybe SW England.

Friday looks a better day especially for the southern half of the UK

Edit: A couple of sferics detected in S Ireland.
LOL couldn't have put it better myself, sometimes I question the state of it when it's freshly cooked, let alone being reheated in a casserole lol....didn't think anyone could be that stupid :p

That line of rain doesn't look like producing much here, it has clouded over now so what we do get isn't far off. Looks like tonight we'll miss the heavy rain to the east leaving us as we have been all summer- in a boring no-mans land of a weather void.

Can people stop talking about the warning I was being sarcastic about the actual forecasts!

Anyway, Pouring it down here that shower developed rapidly on the radar :D

What started as a bit of drizzle just instantly turned into a 10 minute downpour, like with a flick of a switch.

Does anyone else love the smell of summer rain? I cant get enough Posted Image

VM living to up his name it seemsPosted Image

I must admit judging by the latest images from the wonderful NW radar I would say an area roughly covering Cardiff/Gloucester/Bristol is the place for the action from current time through to late afternoon. One squally shower after another appears to be steaming through that area from the SSW NNE'wards via devon.

That's my two penneth.

Cheers

Edit: a sferic somewhere near Bristol showing now according to bliztortung

Formally STORMBOY, come visit my Blog http://naturestimeline.wordpress.com/ and you'll learn more about this slightly eccentric anorak, who goes by the name of Tony!

For those that may be interested, I have a weather station that can viewed via the above link or directly via Weather Underground at http://www.wundergro...ation=IWESTBER2

Finally, if I may quote Mr. Data.

"Wasn't it enough that we lived through the coldest December for over 100 years that no one alive has experienced?"

Today started off pleasantly warm and sunny but now we have very heavy downpours. 6mm in 20 mins making August the second wettest month of the year so far behind February for here.

Very heavy downpours passing through Cumbria, clearing from the sw atm.

Roll on Spring/Summer 2012.... Plenty of active cells this season please... Not before some late season frosts and wintry showers :)

:D

Nope no downpour here - some GRIM skies and occasionally moderate rain this morning! Given way to glorious blue skies and pleasantly warm sunshine.
