My as well re-post from old thread:

I feel very sorry for those missing out!

The strongest storm lasted about 2 hours, with both CG and CC lightning, at it's height it was probably 3-4 strikes per mintue. The rain was very heavy and there is quite a bit of flash flooding around now. The lights also flickered at one point and I thought the power was going to go down!

You can still hear rumbling of thunder in the background every couple of minutes.

Wish I'd stayed in St Ives now. Had to endure 5 minutes of large hail and no thunder, stuck in my car, hearing it getting dented, whilst bencambs and we1330? seem to have an awesome show!

Thunder getting louder now to the SW and it's getting darker. First sizeable storm of the summer on its way!

Holy ****. 3 strikes right above us in the last couple of mins, I was on the phone at the time of one of them and it cut out! (luckily its an ISDN system not standard phonelines otherwise who knows!)

Never heard thunder so loud

Much better! Lots of thunder. the lightening was unfortunately hidden by clouds but you could see where it lit up.

Any more?
