This turned out to be an incredible chase day that no-one will ever forget. Structure was insane and the only damn Cyclic Supercell in the whole of the States which dropped 4 Tornadoes, we only saw one of them at 730pm just North of Shattuck in Ellis County. Started the day in Dodge City knowing we had to get a bit of luck in the Southern Target and luck was on our side. At 530pm noticed an amazing Cell going up 60 miles to our South West in the Texas Panhandle moving North. Went to intercept and as we approached it stalled on some sort of boundary and sat for about 30 minutes. It then latched onto the boundary and did a right turn going on to produce 4 Tornadoes. The tell tale sign as we sat 10 miles east was an amazing Mesocyclone in front of us spinning like a Top just like Wynewwod last year, the structure at this point got sicker and sicker, we noticed the Tornado at just after 730pm North of Shattuck, then chased this east towards South of Woodward. Saw another Cone Funnel Cloud halfway to the ground, then the fun part with the most insane Cg Lightning bolts lighting up the 2nd Supercell that had exactlyh the same structure as the first, let this follow us all the way to Oklahoma City, also ran into TVN Who had run out of petrol and had to limp further east to gas up as all the power was out in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle.

Just a selection of pictures - The lightning Pictures Arron, Dave and Kris got are going to shock the hell out of you.

I am glad Mr Fish didn't go away without a taste of what Tornado Alley can produce ... awesome send off for the end of Chase 2011. Well done guys! Like you said yesterday, the first and last chase days always seem to pull trumps.

Well if some of the photos and videos that we have yet to are half as good as what we have seen, we are in for a treat.

As the dust begins to settle, let's look at the GORY details of this years tours

2011tourgraph.png

For those book on tour one (like myself) the graphs' flat line doesn't lie (does it)?

For those booked on tour two, I bet you were sad to leave at the end.

For those on tour three, you were just plain damn greedy (Lightning Dimmer srikes again)

For those on tour 4 the miles paid off in the end

And for some of the not so GORY details perhaps some of the team could fill in the details:

Total miles covered (across 4 tours)

Total number of speeding tickets

Total number of visits to SUBWAY

Total number of times Paul S said f*^k

Who were the outright winners of 20 questions?

Who fell at the lowest letter in the alphabet on the alphabet memory game?
