On the topic of galleries... What's happened to that Winter photo contest? 
Winter 2011/2012.
Snow falling: 5
Snow Lying: 2 - 16/12/11. Heavy snow most of the morning into afternoon. Stopped 2pm. 2 inches. (20/02/12 - dusting)
Lowest temperature: -5.5C (10/02/12 @ 4:47am)
Ice days: 0
Frosts: 21
Air frosts: 15
Days with hail falling: 8

That's what I had been thinking of asking.. I was wondering whether I'd missed them or if it it had been cancelled as I think voting was meant to be a week or two after I entered in the Autumn

Highest Gust: 50mph - 5th Jan (42mph - 23rd Oct, 12th Dec)
Thunder heard/lightning seen days: 2 - 14th April (3 rumbles to the SE), 21st April (distant-ish rumbles to south) (6 - only 2 significant and not distant)

The weather (ie the fast start to winter) rather overtook the competition unfortunately, but we've kept all the entries and will run it probably before next winter.
