It was posted by a some what 'freaked out' student seeking re-assurance about a possible earth striking body impacting Europe in two months time.
How do folk feel about such fears in todays 'earth watch' skies?
To me the bigger concern is a body nudged from the outer solar system (or an 'Alien Body' from outside our solar system) approaching the earth from behind the Sun.
Such bodies would leave very little 'lead time' for any plans other than mitigation?
I believe that we would have less than 2 days 'lead time' if a comet /asteroid appeared from behind the Sun on an approach/orbit that was not well documented.
As such I believe it is not worth the 'worry', a moments distraction and a bus is a far more likely exit plan than any meteor/comet impact (IMHO)?
Any hows, what do you think???

Pretty much agree with everything you said there, especially the bus
I think you have a valid point about a body approaching from a sunside orbit, although I think there may be a slightly longer lead time for people to panic!!
