No snow, but a massive rumble of thunder here around 610am. Having checked the Isle of Wight lightening radar it matches a CG strike in the channel at the same time.

Amazing, but thats the first rumble of thunder heard here this year!

Thunderstorm with moderate snow betwen 0700 and 0720. Snow now appears to have ceased but storm continues. The general synoptic situation at 0600; of course the channel is relatively warm. This must be very rare in these parts and I certainly don't remember ever seeing it before.

No snow, but we had a fairly mild storm here starting at 7:10 and (I assume, as it hasn't thundered for a while now) ending at 7:40 with the weirdest sounding thunder I have ever heard. I could literally hear the electricity!

Potent little thunderstorms at around midnight and 6:00-7:30, the one this morning was probably the best storm of the year here - very loud claps of thunder, bright flashes of lightning and 2 inches of fresh snow from each storm. Hoping for more today.

Two bouts of thunder snow to report one at 11-30 pm last night with only light to moderate snow and a larger event at 6-30 am today-the last time I can recall such an event here was in 1979.

The thunderstorm over Camborne woke me up just before 7am, lasted 20-25mins and a couple of strikes were directly above where I was. Quite spectacular stuff something I've never experienced before.

Edit

Just had another bout of Thundersnow between 10.00am and 10.20am.

My parents confirm that there was thundersnow at Cleadon twice- 11:20pm last night and 6:20am this morning, with loud, overhead cracks of thunder in both cases.
