Winter Forecast - Meto/bbc

They forecast a mild Winter last year ( :whistling: ).

Where is this years?

I don't think they are doing seasonal forcasts anymore...
Winter 2011/12
October: 1 frost
November: 2 frosts
December: 3 frosts, 1 morning of very wet snow
January: 7 frosts
February: 11 frosts, 3 snowfalls, max depth: 14.5cm. 8 days of laying snow

Because they got it soo wrong?

I mean last year was a spectacular failure. Mild they said. :whistling:

They stopped doing them because the Met Office stopped doing them.
I think the BBC's was the same as the Met O's?
Winter 2011/2012.

Snow falling: 5
Snow Lying: 2 - 16/12/11. Heavy snow most of the morning into afternoon. Stopped 2pm. 2 inches. (20/02/12 - dusting)
Lowest temperature: -5.5C (10/02/12 @ 4:47am)
Ice days: 0
Frosts: 21
Air frosts: 15
Days with hail falling: 8

Don't blame them tbh, they are at the forefront and therefore get the worst of the critisism regardless of whether the weather be good or whether the weather be not...etc
MINUS DOUBLE DIGITS.............ALL THE WAY........WHAT DOES IT MEAN.....IT'S SO INTENSE!!

ive read on here that they do issue one to 'insiders'  and various others..

they have predicted temps to be below average this winter, not sure if that is a good or bad thing though!
