That's classic :good:

Another one to add to his many highlights (or lowlights) on Youtube.

It's not the finger that's the best part, it's him trying to cover it up and failing miserably. Looks like he's having a fit!

i doubt he will receive a P45 but I would think he will have at least a strong letter from BBC and his bosses in the Met Office, possibly a nasty interview with both. Its quite possible, unless he can provide a decent reason for his action, that he may be removed from the BBC forecast team. Be interesting to see.

When i saw the title i just knew it would be Schaffernaker!

Me too. He was just too gaffe-prone not to overstep the line at some point.:(

Also, maybe I'm being unfair but I've always seen him more as the trendy young face of BBC Weather than anything else.

Technically Tomasz never swored at the newsreader because i'm pretty sure it was his Index finger he stuck up and not his middle finger. Tomasz never realised he was going to be briefly on camera so it was just unfortunate it was caught on that moment.

Whilst it is funny, i can't help but feel this may be the end of his BBC forecast career, there has been a couple of times where he has been involved in incidents and they have been posted on youtube.

Tomasz and Simon McCoy normally have banter with each other(or so Tomasz says!) so i think he should be let off personally however how many more chances is he going to get?

I like Tomasz's enthusiasom during the forecasts but i'm afraid this may be too much for the beeb and they'll probably will sack him.

Edit: Maybe it was planned, why would the gallery cut across to Tomasz for? I know they were talking about the weather but the newsreader never give any indication he was going to hand over to the weather forecast. Plus it was 10:54, the weather not normally on until 10:56? It will be interesting what the 10:57 forecast will be tomorrow if Tomasz is forecasting it! Might give a clue whether it was all acted or not.

Just seen a clearer video of it and it would appear to be his middle finger, no excuses for it really but like others, i hope he does not get the sack.

He is a bit of an idiot for doing that especially as he knew he was seconds from being on air.

He maybe could have waited till afterwards and just done it in the canteen or what have you?

Really was very childish, I remember doing things like that as a child, surely a look of distain would have done? instead he's made himself look like even more of a prat than the silly pillock who 'dissed' the meto' in the first place live on air!

I think all in all, that it's a really bad show from the BBC and just another example of the standards of the nation slipping, and this really should not be applauded in any way :)

(and if there wasn't enough cause for me to moan, he's using that terrible american gesture which we really didn't see that much of even 20 years ago, I'd have used the good two fingers up)

I think he's great and as usual it seems to be a typical mountain out of a molehill type situation.

Let's see some more:

From about a minute in.

And the full Attitude shoot on his Facebook page:

He should do the weather forecast in those shorts! :)

Who cares. The stuffy old BBC (and like-minded oldies) won't like it, but so what?

Classic, really.

this "like minded oldie" is only 32 years old.

Maybe this is one for outtake tv, but not for a live broadcast, there really is no excuse. :)

I am not a Tomasz fan, never have been. He certaintly enthusiastic but his presentations irritate me. Why can't he stand still?! A couple of years ago I called it "Do the Tomasz". Its like a Mexican jumping bean.

http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=5677&posts=23&start=1

Lets do the Tomasz!

Now its one step forward and one step back,

Its a lean forward and its a lean back.

Its a twist to the left and one arm out

and its a twist back and the other arm out.

Then sweep both arms to the left then a step forward

Then a step back and lean back

Then gently sway with both feet fixed to the ground

And lets do it all again!!!!!
