Anvil came screaming over here (in a NW direction) a while ago - it is a pretty large cell, was going to chase it but its moving far too quickly!

This one's going through Tunbridge Wells and also along the south east coast

OMG!!!!!!!!

Huge outspread anvil to my south west , it's huge!:80:

Yeah its a big ole cell that one, as I said I've got its anvil over my location right now as well just to my south.

Some really strong cells in the NW today looking at the radar, really strong line in E.NW.

Looks like thats it for SW Essex today, there looks to a gap that SW Essex will be inbetween the cell over Kent and the cells heading for W.London right now...but the anvil does look quite nice from here!

Really quite a big bunch of cells passing to the South, I see several of you have it in sight too. Starting to go a bit dark here.

I love this kind of weather.

Condsidering the actual base is many miles off its pretty impressive.

Quite a turbulent looking sky as the storms clear, but nothing too dramatic. Much brighter to the west now.

Crack out the camera Neil - not for my benefit as I've been under the anvil for the last 30 mins (60 miles from the core of the cell), but for others (though I am curious as to your viewpoint of it)

I can see the cell moving over Thurrock from here and it looks a bit juvenile so hopefully it's going to grow, however the cell to my south coming from Kent is falling apart and I don't expect much to come from it !

Is this a streamer? (looks like one)

Very long and loud thunder here a minute ago. A cell started immediately east of me 20 mins or so ago, and whilst the band just south of me is changing shape so that I will probably miss the heaviest precipitation, there should still be a good show here by looking east. I am video recording the sky from by bedroom looking north-east for the next hour.

Sitting here hoping we might catch something. my house is literally a stones throw from East Beach in Shoebury. In my living room facing SW its really quite threatening looking. Looking out the window directly opposite is still clear blue skies! Talk about on the edge of it

Looks like the one north-east of Coventry is headed close to Leicester and growing.
