Dy with lots of sunshine but it feels damn cold out in it with a breeze, some shallow Cu now and larger tops visible out to the east. No sign of ice/frost on anything even though a min of 0.7C.

Mainly cloudy conditions overcast night have prevented an air frost again, though cold enough for a widespread ground frost, grass minimum –3.2c. Minimum in the screen 0.2c. At observation dry and rather cloudy, though a few breaks appearing now and again.

Light snow showers earlier this morning but dry at the moment with sunny intervals and 5 oktas cu and stcu.
Another morning with a thin snow cover, less than 0.5cm, but a more significant cover on the moors towards Sheffield.
Temp' is 0.4c after an overnight min' of -0.6c and a 24 hr min' of -1.0c.
Rainfall in 24 hrs to 0900, 0.1 mm
Mean wind speed is 19 mph N
Vis', 20 km.
Patiently awaiting the return of the Younger Dryas.

anyone notice how low the humidity is? im reading 60% and falling. lowest ive seen it since feb 2005.

(I don't think that's accurate... it certainly doesn't feel that warm out there. According to Crosby Coastguard station it's 5ºc)

After a cloudy, slightly frosty start with graupel flurries the day turned out bright and quite sunny with further light flurries moving quickly through on a bitter NE wind. The max was 4.6c which has now dropped to 3.6c with the sun shining and a large TCu approaching. Humidity is 79%.
31 Jan 2012 : the coldest day since 29 Jan 2011 !!

Thats a coincidence I was just saying that today reminded me of a few days then,
not feeling as cold today at 3.9c max and a N/NE wind and a few light soft hail/grain showers with more sun,yesterday was a much colder feeling day E/NE 1.8c max but no sun.

Clouds clearing now and suprised that the temperature reached about 4.5ºC here. Turning colder now though with a frost setting in. No snow grains here today like we had yesterday...
