Here are some from today, had a fantastic walk, lovely clear blue skies! The first lot were taken in Uppermill and the rest in the Dovestones area, it was lovely up there it looked like the Alps! only not as tall obviously lol.

Ther are some simply stunning and totally beautiful shots in this thread. Well all of them actually. They all encapsulate so well why I adore snow and cold weather so much. Our landscape is transformed by the sheer magic and beauty of snow.

Fantastic shots there. Those places to look awfully familiar though, the cycle path between Cheddar and Yatton by any chance? That tunnel rings some bells.

Here are some pics taken earlier today around here, around 14cm on ground, 19cm on grass. Most of the snow came last night and this morning around 10cm fell in total from unexpected snow showers. So far there is no thaw even on expected surfaces (cars, bins etc). Current temp is -0.3c with even denser fog.

Out with the dog this morning here in Leeds. Fog rolled in from time to time but it didnt spoil the seasonal scenery. Dog ran himself ragged with his mate before sitting down to let me know he'd had enough and wanted to go back home to the warmth!

All in all, this morning was very reminiscent of the 80's. Thick, slushy muck on the main road, compacted snow in the street....all we need now is another 5 or so inches and then i'll get my roof avalances...
