Who's Steve B, Pete?!

I am trying to determine the exact number of bookings for the home teams at the weekend. According to the BBC website there was 19, but according to soccernet.com (which is what I use for getting the answers) there was 17 bookings. If anyone can help shed any light on this, I would be grateful!
Paul, I have just checked and I count 19 on both. Does soccernet have an easier way of counting these though, because I had to go through game by game and lost count a number of times!

Soccernet seems to have updated its figures since yesterday! Unfortunately there's no easier way of counting them up!

Based on that then, the answer to Bonus Question 2 for Week 9 was 19. Icy toes and Chionomaniac both win 5 points for this, and this is the new updated table after week 9:

(Your previous position in the table and your score for this week appear in brackets)
1. (1.) Sufc 102 points (13 points scored this round)
2. (2.) Geordiesnow 101 points (14 points)
3. (5.) Flash Elvis 100 points (18 points)
4. (7.) Davehsug 98 points (17 points)
5. (4.) Jackone 95 points (11 points)
6. (6.) Windswept 94 points (13 points)
7. (8.) Pinball Wizard 93 points (14 points)
8. (14.) Icy toes 91 points (22 points)
9. (12.) Chionomaniac 91 points (19 points)

How on earth do you score only 1 point! I feel like Mark Lawrenson on the BBC website :D
At least I got the Stoke result wrong :D
Incidentally is 5 yellow cards right for the Liverpool Man U game? To my thoughts Vidic got 2, Mascherano got 2, Evra got 1 & Carragher got 1, That's at least 6 if I haven't forgotten anymore & I think I have?

Yes, there were 7 yellow cards, not 5. Unfortunately the website I use doesn't count 2nd yellow cards which makes things very difficult for me when working out the scores. Indeed, I even checked the BBC website and the soccernet website and both gave 5 yellows, not taking into account both of the second yellow's that resulted in the two sending's off! :D

So here is the updated table again with the adjusted scores:

How many yellow cards will there be in the Liverpool v Manchester United match?
There were 7 YELLOW CARDS in this match. Snowman0607, Thundery Wintry Showers and Chionomaniac got this right and win 5 bonus points.

So, taking all that into account, here is the new table after WEEK 10:

(Your previous position in the table and your score for this week appear in brackets)
1. (3.) Flash Elvis 109 points (9 points scored this round)
2. (2.) Geordiesnow 107 points (6 points)
3. (1.) Sufc 106 points (4 points)
4. (9.) Chionomaniac 104 points (13 points)
5. (6.) Windswept 100 points (6 points)
6. (4.) Davehsug 99 points (1 point)
7. (12.) Koppite 98 points (15 points)
8. (10.) Timmy H 97 points (11 points)
9. (5.) Jackone 97 points (2 points)
10. (11.) Paul B 96 points (12 points - 1 double points week used)
11. (7.) Pinball Wizard 94 points (1 point)
12. (8.) Icy toes 93 points (2 points)
13. (13.) Thundery Wintry Showers 92 points (10 points)
14. (16.) Higrade 91 points (13 points)
15. (17.) Pete Tattum 87 points (10 points)
16. (14.) Nick2702 87 points (7 points)
17. (20.) Phil UK 81 points (11 points)
18. (15.) Snowstorm1 80 points (2 points - 1 double points week used - 1 double points weeks available)
19. (18.) Barry 76 points (2 points)
20. (19.) Ajpoolshark 72 points (2 points)
21. (21.) Stormchaser1 65 points (3 points)
22. (NE) Snowman0607 16 points (16 points - 1 double points week used - 9 double points weeks available)
23. (NE) Badboy657 14 points (14 points - 1 double points week used - 9 double points weeks available)
24. (22.) Hancock 9 points (no entry - 9 double points weeks available)
25. (23.) Andy Bown 7 points (no entry - 9 double points weeks available)

The reason why the 2nd yellow doesnt show is that its not used in the totting up system the FA use.....

i.e 5 yellows = 1 game ban

If you recieve 2 yellows in a game you get automatic red with only one game ban instead of 3 game ban for straight red!!

Example if you have 4 yellows and get sent off with 2 yellow cards in a game, i think you only get one game ban not 2 games and the 4 yellow cards stay against your name.....

So technically there was only 5 yellows in the game...not 7!!!

Please can i have my 5 points back ....I need them as its tight at the top Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

For the purpose of the Prediction League we will use a 2nd yellow card as counting towards the total of yellow cards. To be honest, given the issued raised, I probably won't ask any more bonus questions related to yellow cards anyway. :whistling:

Welcome to WEEK 11's results:

Saturday 31st October 2009:
Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham - 12:45pm
Bolton 0-4 Chelsea - 15:00
Burnley 2-0 Hull - 15:00
Everton 1-1 Aston Villa - 15:00
Fulham 3-1 Liverpool - 15:00

Sunderland 2-2 West Ham - 15:00
Manchester United 2-0 Blackburn - 17:30

Sunday 01st November 2009:
Birmingham 0-0 Manchester City - 16:00

(1 point awarded for getting the correct result, but not the scoreline
3 points awarded for getting the correct scoreline)

BONUS QUESTIONS:
1. Which team above will CONCEDE the most goals in their match?
Two teams both conceded 4 goals, so either one of Bolton or Wigan was the correct answer. The following got one of the teams right, and win 5 bonus points: Flash Elvis, Barry and Phil UK.

2. How many yellow cards will there be in the Arsenal v Tottenham match?
There was only 2 yellow cards in this match, and no-one predicted this!

3. How many FIRST HALF goals will the AWAY teams score in the above matches?
The away teams managed 4 goals between them. 5 points for predicting this correctly go to: Snowstorm1, Icy toes, Jackone, Timmy H and Davehsug.

(5 points awarded for each correct answer)

So, taking all that into account, here is the new table after WEEK 11:
(Your previous position in the table and your score for this week appear in brackets)
1. (1.) Flash Elvis 118 points (9 points scored this round)
2. (2.) Geordiesnow 115 points (8 points)
3. (6.) Davehsug 112 points (13 points)
4. (4.) Chionomaniac 112 points (8 points)
5. (3.) Sufc 112 points (6 points)
6. (8.) Timmy H 110 points (13 points)
7. (18.) Snowstorm1 108 points (28 points - 1 double points week used)
8. (5.) Windswept 106 points (6 points)
9. (12.) Icy toes 105 points (12 points)
10. (9.) Jackone 103 points (6 points)
11. (10.) Paul B 102 points (6 points)
12. (14.) Higrade 100 points (9 points)
13. (11.) Pinball Wizard 99 points (5 points)
14. (7.) Koppite 98 points (no entry - 1 double points week available)
15. (17.) Phil UK 96 points (15 points)
16. (13.) Thundery Wintry Showers 96 points (4 points)
17. (15.) Pete Tattum 94 points (7 points)
18. (16.) Nick2702 93 points (6 points)
19. (19.) Barry 91 points (15 points)
20. (20.) Ajpoolshark 72 points (no entry - 1 double points week available)
21. (21.) Stormchaser1 68 points (3 points)
22. (22.) Snowman0607 34 points (18 points - 1 double points week used - 8 double points weeks available)
23. (23.) Badboy657 14 points (no entry - 9 double points weeks available)
24. (24.) Hancock 9 points (no entry - 10 double points weeks available)
25. (25.) Andy Bown 7 points (no entry - 10 double points weeks available)

Not a lot of change at the top this week with Flash Elvis continuing to lead the way whilst Geordiesnow remains close behind. Its tightened up in the chasing pack though, with 3 people in joint 3rd and plenty more are just behind them.

Thanks for taking part everyone!

Any questions or queries then please PM me.

BONUS QUESTIONS:
1. Which of the above teams will score the LATEST goal (based on match time, not kick off time) in their match?

Scoring in the 90th minute, the answer was Tottenham. Noone predicted this.

2. How many goals will the HOME teams above score?

Thanks to those 9 goals by Tottenham, the final total was 31. Noone predicted this either.

3. How many CORNERS will there be in the SUNDAY matches only?

There were a total of 37 corners in the Sunday matches. Well done to Davehsug for getting this right and winning 5 bonus points!
