Another toughie for Charlton tomorrow, away to Norwich one of the more enjoyable away fixtures, believe there will be in excess of 1,400 charlton fans tasting Deliha's pies. Unfortunately the referee in Steve Tanner of the premiership so that should put paid to any thoughts of a free flowing game. I am sure Norwich will be up for it as we unfortunately relegated them last year. Norwich picked up a few injuries at Milton Keynes on Monday so they may be a little weaker than expected. I am going with my boy which must be the first away game in over a year (work not our terrible form) so lets hope for a nice day. Prediction, well after last week successful attempt i think i will go for a tight Charlton away win, something along the lines of 2-1.
Anybody know of somewhere decent to park, i normally plump for the town hall but always takes so long to get away from.
Regards
Kerry

May be worth trying one of the city centre car parks? Being an Ipswich fan, I have only ever travelled to Norwich by coach or train, so can't really suggest much. This may be worth a look at though: http://www.fanzone.c...tball-Club.aspx
Click the "local area" tab.

Enjoy your day in budgie land, and I hope you win!

Thanks Paul for the advice i will try that. Bet your missing your local Derbies with Norwich, we have unfortunately lost the guaranteed 6 points from playing the supermarket mob (palarse), but picked a nice couple of local derbies in Millwall and Gillingham, lets hope for the sake of football that away supporters are banned from both clubs when we play home and away to Millwall, mind you Charlton where talking about demolishing the North stand where the away supporters are housed.

Yes, do miss the local derbies. You can't beat a derby day atmosphere...mind you given how we have started this year, Norwich would probably beat us, so not missing that part! I'm sure if you asked Millwall nicely, they would demolish your stand for you! They tried hard at Ipswich back in the mid-90's.

Ahh, so it's top vs bottom then  There confidence must be sky high atm after another win today.
I was stunned by the scunny result today :(

Yep - top versus pretty much bottom tomorrow, as Bournemouth make the long trip north. Who have Scumas thorpe (to use the Viking name) got tomorrow then?

In related news, anyone else delighted that Southampton are rock bottom of League One, and would be in trouble without their deduction?

Not much chance of scunny getting a result tomorrow, as they are away to Bristol City  Considering scunny are the smallest club ever in the championship, they have done very well so far :( . Im going for a 3-1 win for Bournemouth tomorrow and a 4-0 defeat for Grimsby, even though ive got no idea who they are playing :(

Reckon you might get a draw or narrow defeat at Ashton Gate. Grimsby are away to Torquay (didn't even need to check The Fishy!)...either a draw or another scrappy win for the Mariners! I dunno, I'm inclined for 2-0 Bournemouth in that, our defence is pretty tight!

You can't be the smallest club ever this time - you've been there before! :(

You do know who Doncaster's manager is, don't you? Bit of a legend!

No, afraid not - normally at uni, so don't have Sky up there. Try to catch Soccer AM when I can!

Although I've heard it before, I did rather laugh at the "I hear it's -10 in Southampton" gag - we use it as "It's warm in Bournemouth, but I hear it's -10 in Southampton." Often followed by "And a cold front could make it -17!"

Ive just checked bournemouth's website, and they have some easy looking games on paper coming up after tomorrow.
Burton at home and then Hereford away. I know it's still early in the season, but they could start to pull away from the chasing pack if they win there next 3 games, which they should do  B)

Yeah we do - but can't be complacent at all - we've still got Notts and Dagenham to contend with. Us being in direct competition with Notts is gonna make it interesting, given where I go to uni!

Grimsby,Blundell park. It will be funny if Notts county don't even make the playoffs this season, and they have lost a few games recently aswell, including a 1-0 defeat at Barnet  I wonder when sol campbell will make his debut

As you'll agree, lovely looking place for a ground!

The irony is that I have a fiver on Notts not being top with a cricket club that I play for just outside of Nottingham! It would be a dream if it was AFCB who stop them being top!

Money doesn't always guarantee success, and you've only got to look at what scunny have done. Some of the players that notts county have brought in won't be used to the style of football being played by a lot of those teams at that level.I remember watching scunny playing teams like Lincoln, bury and Torquay and the ball spent most of the time in the air.If bournemouth do get promoted, im sure league one will suit them better as teams get the ball down and play more.

I think i am going to give up on my prediction whilst the score was correct until the 90th minute my comments about the referee was correct for the whole game. Overall 2-2 was a fair reflection but Norwich second goal was a bit dodgy (but completely deserved) i thought the days of fouling the keeper was long gone, but Mr Tanner and his linesman had different ideas.
It was a game of two halves again, with Charlton dominating the first playing some nice football and the ref favouring us, letting a goal in when 2 nil up a minute before half time is not really recommended, and the second half was a complete reverse with Norwich dominating and with Mr Tanner changing his affections the outcome had to be a draw, with Leeds beating Gillingham it now means Leeds are top.

Sol Campbell has left Notts County after just 1 game  After they lost 2-1 at Morecambe, he probably realised
what a big mistake he had made by dropping down to that level

Is that 4 points opening up at the top of League 2? Well well well, all this talk of Notts County, AFCB have slipped under the radar!

Charlton continued there unbeaten run with another win, but this was not the free flowing open football that charlton fans like (well apart from the first half hour) it was a hard fought game, devoid of much skill. But i suspose a win is a win. Referee was good only 2 bookings and 1 of these was for taking your shirt off during a goal celebration. Both Leeds and Charlton are the only 2 unbeaten in football team league league now, but that will probably end on Saturday (i know it could end Tuesday, don't want to unpset any Colchester or Carlisle fans) when Charlton visit Leeds.
Looking forward to our visit to Colchester on Tuesday as it is a ground that i never been to, be nice to give Kevin Lisbie a cheer and he will be my bet to score the first goal, although hopefully Charlton will make the short journey home with all 3 points.

well i am still looking forward to my short trip over the thames to Colchester tonight, lets hope for a good game, decent officials, and a warm reception for our cult hero Kevin Lisbie. My prediction for tonight is a 2 nil win for the addicts, altough i wouldnt put it passed Lisbie or Colchester to spoil our unbeaten record.

Well in my pridictions for last nights game i managed to get most things wrong (nothing unusual there then), Lisbie didn't score, we didn't win and Colchester did upset us. A good performance by Colchester who wanted to win, don't know what you could say about Charlton other than you can't expect to give away 3 goals and win. Colchester are a very good side, strong and physical, if they continue how they played against us last night then they should aim for the automatic promotion places not the playoffs. Referee and officials appeared to have a good game although the home fans seemed to get upset with them occassionally. Well now for an away trip to Leeds on Saturday, after our performance of last night then i think i may have a few quid on a Charlton away win, as surely we cannot perform as badly twice in a row?

Just a little hint to any Colchester official looking in on my outstanding reporting abilities try putting up some signage to direct fans to your new ground, you never know you might increase your support, great pity only 7098 saw your great preformance (i would imagine there where just below 2,000 depressed Charlton fans in a that figure), Oh and congreatulations to Essex CC on the way they managed to start the road works early (road closed at 9.45pm) on the A12 with all the unhappy Charltons fans travelling home, summed up a good day.
Regards
Kerry
