Well. I see Birmingham City pre-season friendlies have left something of a bitter taste in the mouth.

Tamworth 3 - 1 Blues.

Crewe 4 - 1 Blues.

Cheltenham 0 - 4 Blues.

Nottm Forest 2 -1 Blues.

Dagenham and Redbridge 0 - 1 Blues.

Burton Albion 3 - 2 Blues. I bet Mrs Peschisolido (Karren Brady) wasn't too impressed that night!

And to think... Away to Man Ure on the opening day of the Premiership... (Elp!)

Shocking refereeing yesterday in the community shield, even sunday league refs stop the match if a head injury is involved, blatant elbow in the face to evra by ballack and not even a yellow card 8)

I`m not too disappointed though we were the better team, played really well and we showed we will be a force even without ronaldo :)

It's only effectively a friendly match anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

But I see it's a brand new season, same old crap from Fergie - yes the ref is always to blame.

Interesting first day in the Premier League - 6 away wins including Arsenal stuffing Everton 6-1 at Goodison Park!

Interestingly in the past 2 seasons, Reading then Newcastle had encouraging away draws at Old Trafford on the fist day of the season, and then were relegated, perhaps it would be better for Birmingham to lose tomorrow.

I want all midland teams to do well in the premiership, the only teams i always want to lose unless playing each other or it benefits Man Utd are Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea.

Talking of Man City check this out, LOL no way will Man City win the Champions League even if they qualify for it on their first attempt.

We didn't disappoint, Jackone. :cold: But by all accounts, we did give them a fair game and kept the result down to a minimum, so no great disaster.

At home tomorrow v Pompey and should theoretically on paper be a home win but this is Birmingham City and I for one wouldn't hold my breath on a home win necessarily being the outcome.

You really should be beating Portsmouth if you want to stay up. They are one of the 3 teams I expect to be relegated (along with Burnley and Dinglehampton). You have a more in depth squad than Pompey who have sold half of their squad!

Well done Burnley. Man Utd are being shown what happens when you replace Ronaldo and Tevez with Michael Owen. They won't win the title this season.

Agree. Great last gasp result for Birmingham too. :80: Sounded pretty scrappy, especially where Pompey were concerned. Three bookings in the last three minutes.

Must watch MOTD tonight on BBC1. (11:10pm I think?) Even if just to hear the shedloads of excuses from Fergie. :whistling:

And what are Tottenham on? 2 wins in a row?? If I were you Pete, I'd grab a screenprint of the current league table as it may be the only time you'll see Spurs at the top of the Premiership.

Phil.

The United match won't be first, the BBC can't show a top 4 defeat first!! Looking forward to seeing it though, but as soon as the Wolves match appears, my TV is off...

It was, Nick. Cracking goal from Blake and has to be goal of the season already.

And then the penalty save. I took this for prosperity as it's a rare occurence for a Man Ure penalty to be saved...

She ain't a bad judge of form...she's more of a footy fan than me :nonono:
