UK Outlook for Wednesday 1 Oct 2008 to Friday 10 Oct 2008:

Next Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be largely unsettled with showers and longer spells of rain across the UK. It will be windy at first too, perhaps with gales over northern and western parts, especially northwest Scotland. Some heavy rain is possible at times, especially in the north and west. There are indications that some more settled conditions with sunny spells may then spread into southern England and Wales late next week, but it is likely to remain unsettled further north. In the following week, there should still be occasional dry, sunny interludes, but further spells of rain are expected to spread across all parts from the west, again perhaps with some heavy bursts at times. Temperatures will generally be around normal throughout this forecast period.
