Now known to be at least 160 killed by the earthquake.
5.6 doesn't sound such a big quake to have such a devastating effect ?
I experienced the Market Rasen 5.2 one and it was pretty minor.

Maybe the depth difference / building standards ?

Something very odd there must be much higher like 8.6 I do know they downgrade them much more in recent years to stop panic..

Like that crete it said it was massive and Tsusami danger at 5.5 I don t think so..

At least 162 people have been killed following an earthquake in Indonesia, with the "majority" of them being children, according to West Java's governor.

As of 9pm local time, 326 people had minor or serious injuries, 2,345 houses were heavily damaged and 13,400 were displaced in the 5.6 magnitude quake, governor Ridwan Kamil said.

Theres been alot of quakes lately most notably western USA..

This quake is at the bottom start of San Andreas fault.

The twitter dying embers has made this California earthquake almost a non event. Nothing has come up in timelines as people previously at the top havnt paid their $8 subscriptions so have disappeared from the algorithyms.

Unfortunately this is a really bad one, having scene the pictures this morning of hundreds of collapsed buildings and the fact this occurred in the middle I fear this will have a huge fatality count.

5.0 at 6.26am

4.8 at 6.55am etc

all at about 10-15km depth
